Top 5 Food Delivery Services iOS Apps in UAE Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top food delivery services on the iOS platform in the United Arab Emirates exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here is a closer look at the performance of the leading apps according to Sensor Tower data.

Food, grocery & more saw a significant spike in weekly downloads, peaking at around 20.9K and 20.2K during the weeks of November 21 and November 28, respectively. Active users also increased steadily, reaching a high of 195.2K in the week of November 28 before slightly declining to 173.7K by the end of December.

Smiles UAE experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, with numbers rising to approximately 5.3K in the last week of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, peaking at 32.6K in the week of November 28 and closing the quarter at 31.7K.

Deliveroo: Food & Shopping maintained relatively stable weekly downloads, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 3.7K in the final week of December. Active user numbers fluctuated but ultimately rose to 37.5K by the end of the quarter.

InstaShop: Grocery Delivery showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at 2.4K in early December but dropping to 1.9K by the end of the month. Active users mirrored this trend, with a high of 17.3K at the beginning of October, declining to 14.1K by the end of December.

Drops: Food & Grocery Shopping experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting strong at 3.1K in late September and dropping to 187 by the end of December. Active users also saw a downward trend, from 9.5K at the start of the quarter to 6.5K at its close.
